Aubrey Peeples

Aubrey Peeples has been an American actor and singer for more than a decade. Her most well-known role was the role of Layla Grant on the television drama Nashville (2012), and Claudia Shepard (Sharknado 2013). She also played the lead character Jerrica Jem Benton on the feature film Jem and the Holograms (2015). Aubrey Peeples grew up in Lake Mary Florida by parents Wendy and Ashley. She has a younger sister Ally. Aubrey appeared at the Orlando Repertory Theatre in her teens for a period of 10 years. Her graduation ceremony from Lake Mary Preparatory School was an address to the class' valedictory in 2012. Harvard University was willing to accept her. But, she declined the offer twice. The second time was because she wanted to be a part of Nashville. Peeples was a guest on Drop Dead Diva (2009) Burn Notice (2007) Austin & Ally (2011) Grey's Anatomy (2005) and had a recurring role in Necessary Roughness (1991). She appeared in made for TV films Ace Ventura Jr.: Pet Detective (2009) and The Good Mother. The latter was her most prominent part in the role of Layla Grant on the Nashville Drama series in its second season. Peeples spoke about her bipolar disorder in a 2019 interview in NKD Magazine. Indiewire placed Peeples at the top of their list of the top actors under the age of twenty-one in September of 2014.
